Snow Day

Snow Day! Doesn't this face say it all??

Remember how great it was to wake up and find out you didn't have school? You pulled on every warm clothing item you owned and met your friends outside for the day! Mom's hot chocolate always tasted best on those days. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

In Michigan we are in the midst of a beautiful snowstorm that began about 5:00 am this morning and is going like gangbusters! It's scheduled until mid afternoon, if the weather follows schedules. :)

I have been listening to the news very closely for weather and traffic trying to determine if I should venture to work. I opted out. My little car has been screaming at me for a while with "issues" and since I drive 28 miles to work each way, I've decided to stay home. No pay, but no spinouts either.

Sunday we're expecting more of the same and snow on Christmas Eve too!

YAY!

Have a great Friday, everyone!

...Shucks, and all WE have are "Hurricane Days!"

Enjoy the snow, keep it white.

Sounds great. I remember those snow days. What a lot of fun. My mittens would get toasty on the radiator and then I'd go out in the snow. I liked the quiet of it.

I miss Michigan snow today. Here it's been in the high 70s no chance of beautiful white blankets covering the earth.

I don't always miss snow, but near Christmas I really do.

I miss the smell, the cool kisses that hit my face as I venture out, rolling snowballs, slushy sidewalks as you walk down and admire Christmas lights in the evening.... The beautiful first glimpse of pristine blankets in the morning (before it's marred by life moving through)

I remember those days well, the snowsuits that took forever to get on and off! Pickles and I were outside running like crazy nuts throught it all (It's a snow day here in NY as well). The wind won't allow us to venture back out for a bit now. (Hugs)Indigo

Ohhhh we LOVE snow days! That picture is darling! Lu Lu bundles up, plays, comes back and lays all of her wet snow clothes over the warm stove to dry, then back out again to do it all over again. I am so happy she can now manage all of her zippers and snaps and buttons and ties on her own now. :o)

Good call on staying home for the day!

I'm glad you chose to be safe than sorry. That picture is just too adorable! Oh, how I dream of a White Christmas, but seriously doubt it here in Texas!

Wow, that sounds fun, the snow, not the driving in it. It was 70 here in old eastern North Carolina yesterday. We are forecast in the mid 60's for Christmas day. I was hoping it would be cooler, but it will be nice for our boys so they can play outside with their gifts from Santa.

We're in the midst of some pretty good snow here too -- unusual for us in the PacNW.

Good choice to stay home! :)
