Let Go

It's excruciatingly painful to watch friends go through what you've been through. Having nothing to offer but an ear makes me feel worthless. I know I'm not, but the enemy of my new life would like me to believe that I should be jumping in where I don't belong. Nothing makes that enemy happier than me living my life in turmoil. The quicker I begin to recognize his whisper, his thoughts, his suggestions the sooner I can call him out on it and put him aside.

Sticking with a program does that. Sticking with good counsel does that, too. Sticking with what you know adds to the stability that I have longed for all my adult life.

It's never to late to change the things that we can. Finally at 55, I'm free!

God did that. Letting Go and Letting God is much more than a cliche' saying.

It's reality.

So much wisdom in this post! Excrutiatingly painful are two good words for what we try not to live out.

I know what you mean I think.

And the one thing I know beyond anything else is when I'm in that situation where I desperately want to help and cant, and I begin to pray desperately for others... and God shows up... I am more convinced that he'll solve all my problems too... if I stick close and just what he sets in front of me.

I have a hard time not wanting to pick up everything for everyone though... still.

I have learned that the best thing I can do for someone else is get out of the way and let them solve their own problems. Great post.
